Powder Coating is a modern process of applying electrically-charged powder coating materials to grounded parts.
Powder coating is much more durable than wet paint. It has greater resistance to chipping, scratching, fading and wearing than other finishes.
It is a simple process in which paint in a finely ground powder form is given a positive electrical charge and sprayed onto a grounded surface with a negative charge. The part is then placed in an oven to melt the powder which then flows and fuses into a continuous coating which is very hard and has no porosity.
